We have reached the end of the 2020-21 academic year! I am proud of all that CAFNR faculty, staff and students did this year to successfully complete two terms of socially distanced learning. Getting to this finish line is nothing short of incredible!
We celebrated our seniors in-person with three ceremonies Saturday, May 15. See photos and fun on our Flickr page. Commencement is the best day in the life of a university, and, after two virtual commencement celebrations, it felt even more special!
I could not be more proud to be at a university that also recognized our 2020 graduates with a belated celebration, hosted by Mizzou, in late April. We enjoyed welcoming back the Class of 2020 and properly celebrating those graduates! The School of Natural Resources also celebrated our Class of 2020 with the installation of an alumni-made cedar bench in their honor. Read more about this unique class gift on CAFNR’s Facebook page.
I hope you’ve taken the opportunity to meet many of our recent grads in our “Senior Spotlight” series where we highlighted a senior from each degree program, in addition to three sets of graduating twins! As a twin myself, it was fun to read about their CAFNR experiences!
I want to thank all of you for your support over this past year, and every day. We enjoyed celebrating our 2021 CAFNR Alumni Association award winners earlier this spring – you can read more about that later in this issue. We have a tremendous group of alumni in CAFNR, and we do not take that for granted!
Hope to see you in person soon!
